Apple Cheese Cake
Ingredients
Crust
- ½ cup margarine
- 2 tbsp sugar
- ¼ tsp vanilla
- 1 cup flour
Filling
- 1 lb cream cheese
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup sour cream
Topping
- 4 apples macintosh
- 1 dash lemon juice
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp sugar
Glaze
- apricot jam
- orange juice
Instructions
Crust
- Mix margarine, sugar, vanilla, and flour.
- Use butter or spray on pan.
- Press crust mix on sides and bottom of pan.
Filling
- Mix cream cheese, vanilla, lemon juice, eggs, and sugar.
- Stir in sour cream.
- Spread mixture evenly over crust and spread to edge.
Topping
- Peel and slice apples.
- Toss apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, and sugar.
- Arrange apple topping around cheese mixture.
Glaze
- Dilute apricot jam in orange juice, and warm slightly.
- Brush glaze on top with paint brush that has been soaked in water.
Baking
- Bake for 50 minutes (10 minutes at 450℉, 40 minutes at 400℉)
